Boy Quilt Finish

I just finished a quilt for a friend of mine that is having a boy in February.  She wanted Navy, Orange, and Grey.  I had been wanting to try a zig zag quilt pattern and this seemed perfect for her.  I also also wanted to do a silhouette on the back.  The silhouettes were fun to make and I can't wait to try this technique again.

I LOVE the little fish!

Of course, while I was taking pictures I became aware of someone that was very curious about what Mommy was doing.
Can Mommy see me?

Those beautiful black marble eyes melt my heart.

No matter what you are doing, take time to 'notice' those little curious ones.  Following Mommy or Daddy around is the greatest compliment a little one can give.  :)  Have a great week! -Little Mama Hen.

    1. Thanks Nicole! I cut out black fabric and heat bonded it. I straight stitched the edges for extra security. It was easy and if my friend tells me that it holds up well with a few washings, then I'll try this technique again...maybe bigger! :) -April

    1. Thanks so much Zafeira. The grey is Reunion - Daisy's Dates in Graphite (Moda). The Navy Blue and Fish fabric is a Japanese fabric I found on Etsy (I LOVE this fabric). And the cute little Elephant fabric is Savanna Bop by Thomas Knauer for Andover. It was a fun quilt to make. Have a great day. -April

    1. Thank Megan! It's just HST turned to make a zigzag pattern. There is a tutorial at the Missouri Star Quilt Co. blog that gave me the idea. I think they call it chevrons. :)
